The objective of this deliverable is twofold:

 

(i) to present the methodological approach for developing the European Insular Areas Typology, and

(ii) to present the results of the implementation of the proposed methodological approach, i.e. the typology, including information for four insular areas Armenous, Cabras, Aphodite Hills (Cyprus), a Sicily area, i.e. those areas involved in the RERINA project.

 

The objective of this report is to identify and discuss the international state-of the art and practice on SEC development.  The information that will be acquired through this analysis will provide a pot of ideas for potential actions for the development and successful implementation of the Local Plans for the SECs’ development on the insular areas involved in the RE-RINA project.
